Wine Pairing with Paul PDF Print E-mail
Written by Dine Us Webmaster

And when dining out, don’t forget to ask your bartender of server for suggestions.  That is what they are there for, and a good restaurant will keep their staff informed, knowledgeable, and seasoned on some good wine pairings.  And if you are ever not sure about a wine, ask for a taste.  Most restaurants are very open to letting a guest taste a wine before they buy it.  But don’t abuse this very nice privilege.  If you taste more than one, you should think about offering to pay for additional glass.  It is greatly appreciated & the right thing to do.  And if you really like a wine, ask your local Wine Shoppe to carry it.  Restaurant prices are good, but retail for take home can be much better.  And local Wine Shoppe’s appreciate the suggestions.

Plenty of things in life can be scary, but ordering a glass of wine to pair with food certainly shouldn’t be one of them.  I’m learning this, and with a little more experience, I think I may get quite good at this game.  Maybe I won’t be so nervous in a restaurant the next time around.  Now I’m just nervous if Dine Wilmington Online will ask me to do another pairing article.

P.S.  Did you know that a glass of wine can actually calm your nerves?  I think I have now found the perfect pair!
