We Need Your Reviews!
Here are some recent recommendations from our members:
Okay folks, I think this what we all have been waiting for. We are down here a little over two years and have tried many so called italian restaurants but nothing compares like back in NJ/NYC area. Fortunately for us, we came across this Italian restaurant and as my old friend Mateo said--"this is a home run." Several of us took my daughter out for her 19th birday and had the best italian food in a long long time. When you walk in, the smell of the gravy (yes I said gravy, you want sauce go buy Ragu) permeates your nose to the back of your brains. The salad is really delicious and a nice size. When you are served a great salad, you are anticipating a great entree. Out of the seven different entrees ordered, no one was disappointed. After a while, the table reminded me of an old italian restaurant we ate at in San Francisco. It was in the Little Italy dining section and you were seated as a table with other people. The concept was order- and then everyone shared a bite. This is what happened at Valentino's that night. Everyone was sharing a bite or "try this" at our table. Suffice it to say, I had a mahi mahi prepared with schrimp scampi over spinach. It was excellent. I am not going to make this a chapter in a book but leave room for the dessert. If you are like we are, you will want this place to survive just cause it is so good and reminds you of back home. By Frank A.

Taqueria Dos Hermanos "If you like real Mexican food you'll like Dos Hermanos. None of that overly sauced, cheesy stuff that you find at most Americanized local places. Great tacos, menudo, and tortas (sandwiches). Don;t be put off the Spanish language TVs in each corner of the restaurant or the left-over (from a preevious occupant) Chinese decor. This is the real thing!" User: Richard M. Harry the Hats Harry the Hats is a great place to have fun and eat. This is a "Cheers-like" neighborhood bar with friendly folks and excellent food and drink. The staff is great and friendly and the owners are terrific. Highly recommend it for fun times with karaoke or watching sports on their many TV's. Member: Tom R. Little Pig's BBQ I am a local and have eaten a lot of BBQ. Little Pigs is the best that I have ever had. My wife and I even had them cater our wedding reception because they are so good. Friendly, quick, and you can't beat the food. Member: Brian C. Bimini's Oyster Bar & Seafood Cafe A friend recommended I try Bimini's the last time I went to Myrtle Beach. I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is great. As described, a relaxing, Key West type place. The menu was varied, from fried to grilled seafood. The steamed mussels were fantastic. Can't wait to go again. My friend had the Lemon Pepper Shrimp and what a plate! Big enough to share. And, the Key Lime Pie was the perfect dessert. You have to get a T-shirt and do an "Oyster Shooter"! Highly recommended. Member: Allison H. Miyabi Kyoto Japanese Restaurant "Great food and atmosphere", Dalya S. The Office "Great atmosphere...very clean and crisp with a dark "soprano" like look about it! Excellent daily linch specials---try the buffalo shrimp---crisp coating, tangy sauce and you can really taste the shrimp! I ordered the Veal Parm Sandwich (special) and it was enough food for two days lunch...no pressed veal here, hand fried, great sauce...beware on portions sizes---my husband was hungry and ordered the large roast beef hoagie---it was over 12" and loaded with fresh roast beef, peppers, onions, veggies, ---a huge great sandwich! Lunch prices averaged $6-10 but we left with two leftover boxes---a great experience!!" Member: Jennifer H-B. |
